Inconel 783 alloy, also known as UNS R30783, is a Co-Ni-Fe based precipitation hardening ferromagnetic oxidation resistant low expansion high temperature alloy suitable for working temperature less than 750℃.
Alloy 783 exhibits excellent oxidation resistance under working conditions of 750℃, and also has excellent room temperature and high temperature mechanical properties, low thermal expansion coefficient and low density. During the hot deformation process, fine grain control can be achieved by controlling the precipitation of β-NiAl phase.

Inconel 783 Heat Treatment
To heat treat this super alloy, the material has to solution annealed at 1121°C (2050°F) for 1 h, and air cooled. This should be followed by beta aging at 845°C (1550°F) for 4 h and air cooled to room temperature. Next the material is age hardened at 720°C (1325°F) for 8 h, furnace cooled at 55°C (100°F) for 1 hr to 620°C (1150°F) for 8 h and air cooled.
