1.4551 1.4580 Welding Neck Flange
1.4541 stainless steel (X6CrNiTi18-10) is a variant version of 1.4301. The addition of titanium stabilizes carbides without sensitization, because titanium forms more stable carbides than chromium. These carbides remove carbon from the solid solution and prevent the precipitation of chromium carbide. Therefore, this material is also called stabilized stainless steel. 1.4541 material has high corrosion resistance, good weldability and cold formability.
1.4580 Stainless steel is used for fasteners, heat exchangers, coolers, tanks, pumps, pipelines and similar equipment of refineries, paper mills, food processing plants and chemical plants. It is resistant to intergranular corrosion.
