What is Stainless Steel 321 reducing flange?
Stainless steel 321 flanges are austenitic components designed with an 18/8 chemical composition having additions of niobium or titanium to stabilize them. A reducing flange in the 321 grade is employed in connecting a range of piping materials of dissimilar sizes. These flanges have boring holes of different diameters allowing them to fit pipes of different models. Reducing flanges in this range come in the form of blind, weld neck, threaded and slip-on flanges. The flanges are available in different pressure sizes and are frequently utilized in fittings where there is limited space. The short-length flange shouldn’t be used in sudden transitions between lines where there are chances of turbulence.
