Product Description of MONEL 400 STEEL PIPE
ASTM and ASME are amongst the oldest and most common grades utilized in manufacturing the items in this range. Both these standards can be distinguished from the other based on key features.
ASTM B165 UNS N04400 belongs to a standard that publishes technical codes and standards for different material types. ASME Sb 163 UNS N04400 is a standard that regulates designs and dimensions of boiler and pressure vessel grades.
ASTM grade covers 12,000 or more standards of products and services, while ASME grade covers close to 600 technical standards.
A Monel 400 alloy is slightly magnetic at room temperatures. The pipes in this grade become highly magnetic when the modules are put through are -100 degrees C or higher temperatures.
Seamless pipes of Monel 400 grade are stronger than welded pipes. These robust pipes are produced by passing hot steel billets and welding them in place.
