ASTM A312 310s is a material used for general corrosive services and high temperature services for prolonged periods of time. The composition of the A312 Tp310s material includes carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and chromium and nickel. The composition makes the material withstand highly oxidizing agents under high temperatures. However, the SA 312 Tp 310s has lower carbon than the standard version and this adds the pipes more toughness. In getting the comparison, the strength for high temperatures is reduced in the 310s Stainless Steel Pipe products. Therefore they are preferred in applications that have continuous operations under mild to high temperatures.

ASTM A312 310S stainless steel pipe is a material suitable for general corrosive environments and long-term high-temperature service. Specifically designed for high-temperature applications, it is a high-alloy material engineered to resist oxidation and corrosion, with properties largely attributed to its chromium and nickel content. TP310S has a maximum carbon content of 0.08%, whereas the standard 310 grade has a maximum of 0.24%. The material is capable of withstanding temperatures of 1150°C in continuous service and 1035°C in intermittent service.
Combining corrosion resistance with good formability, ASTM A312 310S stainless steel tubing can be fabricated into various shapes and types, including standard piping, square tubes, round tubes, honed tubes, and hydraulic system components. It maintains excellent oxidation resistance even at temperatures up to 1150°C, provided the system is free of sulfur-bearing gases. It is also frequently used to manufacture flanges and other pipe fittings, with pressure ratings ranging from Class 150 to PN64 and higher.
TP310S piping material also exhibits superior mechanical properties, featuring a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 525 MPa, making it suitable for high-pressure applications. These combined characteristics make the material ideal for demanding environments involving equipment such as burners, annealing covers, distillation vessels, combustion chambers, lead melting pots, and radiant tubes.
