321H stainless steel is a widely used stainless steel where parts are heated and exposed to corrosive atmospheres within the carbide precipitation temperature range (800°F-1500°F).
347 is a stabilized austenitic chromium steel containing niobium which eliminates carbide precipitation and therefore intergranular corrosion. Alloy 347 is stabilized by the addition of chromium and tantalum and provides higher creep and stress rupture properties than Alloys 304 and 304L, which may also be used in exposures where sensitization and intergranular corrosion are a concern.
430 stainless steel is a general steel type with good corrosion resistance. It has better thermal conductivity than austenite, smaller thermal expansion coefficient than austenite, is resistant to thermal fatigue, has added stabilizing element titanium, and has good mechanical properties at the weld.
