What is 347 stainless steel bars?
347 Stainless Steel Bar, also known as UNS S34700 and Grade 347, is an austenitic stainless steel that offers excellent resistance to high temperatures and also has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion in the chromium carbide precipitation temperature range of 800°F to 1500°F. It is similar to Grade 321 in terms of resistance to intergranular corrosion, which is achieved by using niobium as a stabilizing element to maximize this property. Grade 347 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but higher properties can be achieved by cold rolling.

Conventional specifications: diameter Φ6-Φ300mm, length 3-6 meters, surface treatment includes black skin (rough processing), acid white (direct use), grinding (accuracy ±0.01mm).
Customization service: supports non-standard diameter (Φ1-Φ500mm), special length cutting (fixed length error ±2mm), and special-shaped processing such as hexagonal bars and square bars.
Does 347 stainless steel cold-rolled bars need annealing after welding?
No annealing is required, niobium stabilization treatment has suppressed the precipitation of chromium carbide, and the intergranular corrosion test is passed directly after welding, saving heat treatment costs and time.
