What is 1.4021+QT800 stainless steel?

1.4021 (EN standard, corresponding to X20Cr13) is a martensitic stainless steel containing 12-14% chromium and 0.16-0.25% carbon. After QT800 processing (quenching at 980-1035°C + tempering at 625-675°C), it achieves a tensile strength of 700-950MPa and hardness of 25-30HRC, balancing good toughness and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for dynamic load applications like automotive engine valves and hydraulic pump shafts.

What is 1.4028+QT850 stainless steel?

1.4028 (EN standard, corresponding to X30Cr13) is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel with 0.26-0.35% carbon and 12-14% chromium. After QT850 processing (quenching followed by low-temperature tempering at 150-370°C), it reaches hardness of 45-51HRC and tensile strength of 800-1000MPa, though with lower ductility. It is primarily used in high-wear scenarios such as injection molds, cutting tools, and gears.
