With over 18 years of experience in deep-processing manufacturing of stainless steel, GNEE Stainless Steel has exported products to more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, serving a cumulative total of 100 projects in the energy, petrochemical, and high-temperature industry sectors. The Type 321 stainless steel perforated sheets we supply are delivered in strict compliance with the ASTM A240 base material specification and the ISO 10630 industrial standard for perforated plates, making them highly suitable for core industrial operating conditions such as high-temperature power stations, petrochemical reactors, and flue gas treatment.

We provide full-specification customization for SS 321 perforated sheets, offering a thickness range of 0.3–12.5mm and standard sheet sizes from 1000×2000mm up to 1500×6000mm. Our capabilities cover various hole patterns including round, square, hexagonal, and slotted holes, with a hole diameter range of φ0.5–100mm. Utilizing advanced CNC punching technology, we control hole diameter tolerance within ±0.1mm. The open area percentage ranges from 10% to 60%, which can be custom-engineered to meet specific ventilation and load-bearing requirements. Furthermore, the sheet flatness is maintained at ≤1.0mm/m, the hole center-to-center pitch deviation is within ≤±0.1mm, and the edge burr height is strictly controlled within 0.02mm.

In addition, we offer deep-processing services such as rolling, bending, and welding. Stock for standard specifications is readily available to guarantee fast delivery within 7 days, while custom orders can be delivered in just 15–20 days. Prior to mass production, we provide CAD drawings for approval to clearly indicate the perforated zones and margin sizes.

Type 321 Stainless Steel Perforated Sheet vs. 304
Type 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 17.0–19.0% chromium and 9.0–12.0% nickel, with a titanium addition of no less than 5 times the total content of carbon and nitrogen. This allows the preferential formation of stable titanium carbide within the sensitization temperature range of 425–815°C, fundamentally suppressing the precipitation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries. Its long-term continuous service temperature can reach up to 870°C, and its creep strength at 600°C is increased by more than 22% compared to Type 304. It maintains excellent structural stability under thermal cycling conditions involving frequent startups and shutdowns, extending the service life by 40% compared to standard 304 perforated sheets.

How to Calculate the Open Area of a Perforated Sheet?
The Open Area (%) determines the airflow, light transmission, or filtration efficiency of a perforated metal sheet. For the most commonly used 60° staggered round hole pattern, the open area can be calculated using the following formula:

Where:
D = Hole Diameter (mm)
P = Pitch / Center-to-Center Distance Between Holes (mm)
Example Calculation
If:
Hole Diameter (D) = 5 mm
Pitch (P) = 8 mm
Then:

Result: The perforated sheet has an open area of approximately 35.4%.

Lead Time
In-Stock Specifications: Cutting and dispatch completed within 3–5 working days (applicable to standard stock base sheets with thicknesses of 1.0mm–3.0mm).
Custom Orders: 7–15 working days. We provide transparent progress updates based on hole pattern complexity and production scheduling.
Quality Control
Each batch of products must pass three strict inspection stages, with corresponding reports provided:
Material Verification: 100% material re-testing using handheld Positive Material Identification (PMI) spectrometers to ensure the titanium (Ti) content meets the standard.
Dimensional Inspection: Measurement of hole diameter (D), pitch (P), margin widths, as well as the length, width, and thickness tolerances of the sheets.
Physical Inspection: Feeler gauge testing for flatness; visual inspection to guarantee no surface scratches, no incomplete punches, and no interconnected holes.

We provide a complete set of quality traceability documents to ensure compliance:
EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate (MTR): Recording detailed chemical composition, physical properties, and heat treatment status.
Quality Management System Certification: ISO 9001:2015 certified.
