1.4006 martensitic stainless steel, high toughness and corrosion resistance, contains C, Si, Mn and other elements, can be quenched and tempered to increase hardness. Used for knives, fasteners and other parts and equipment resistant to weak corrosion and oxidation.

Heat treatment
1.4006 can be quenched and tempered to increase its hardness and tensile strength, but the elongation will decrease. During quenching, the hardness and tensile strength are significantly increased, while during tempering, the hardness is reduced and the elongation is increased. The heating temperature range is 800 - 900 ℃, and the heating method can be air cooling or slow cooling.
Application areas
1.4006 is suitable for manufacturing parts that require high toughness and corrosion resistance, such as tools, blades, fasteners, hydraulic press valves, thermal cracking sulfur corrosion-resistant equipment, etc. In addition, it is also suitable for manufacturing equipment parts that are resistant to weak corrosive media at room temperature, and oxidation-resistant parts below 650 ℃.
