Corrosion resistance of 1.4501 stainless steel
1.4501 steel - ASTM A182 F55 - Super Duplex Steel: UNS S32760 is resistant to seawater corrosion and has a high resistance to surface corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion and is suitable for use in sulfuric acid environments. The material has tensile strength (PREN) values of 40 to > 46 J and good impact values and wear resistance at -40°C.

1.4501 stainless steel Heat treatment
The heat treatment of the 1.4501 is carried out by solution annealing in the range 1040-1120°C with rapid cooling in sufficient water and this is also recommended after welding larger cross sections.
