S32001 Stainless Steel Plate Shipping To South Africa
Leave a message
As South Africa continues to expand its development across sectors such as infrastructure, mining, seawater desalination, and chemical processing, the demand for high-strength, corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials is growing rapidly. Within the duplex stainless steel family, S32001 stainless steel plate has emerged as a highly cost-effective alternative to traditional 304 and 316 grades, proving particularly suitable for engineering projects with elevated requirements for mechanical strength and resistance to chloride corrosion.
Recently, multiple batches of S32001 stainless steel plates were successfully produced, inspected, and shipped to South Africa; leveraging its consistent product quality and reliable delivery capabilities, GNEE Stainless Steel has provided robust support for various local engineering projects.

S32001 stainless steel plates are strictly inspected before shipment to ensure full compliance with international standards and project requirements. The inspection includes chemical composition verification (Cr 19.5–21.5%, Ni 1.0–2.5%, Mo ≤0.8%), as well as non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic testing (UT), with a defect detection rate of ≥99.8%. In addition, hardness is controlled within the range of HV 220–280, while dimensional tolerances are maintained at ±0.1–0.3 mm depending on plate thickness. All test results are fully documented in the Mill Test Certificate (MTC) and can be provided with third-party inspection reports (such as SGS/BV), ensuring full traceability and consistent quality assurance for export projects.

All our UNS S32001 plates are wrapped in waterproof paper, reinforced with steel strapping, and packed into wooden crates or shipping containers to ensure they remain free from damage during transit. For maritime shipments, we employ packaging solutions that comply with international shipping standards to effectively guard against moisture and salt spray corrosion.
We handle the processing of all necessary trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and SABS compliance certificates. Our professional team ensures that all documents fully comply with South African customs regulations, thereby preventing any clearance delays caused by documentation issues.

We offer a variety of shipping methods to South Africa, including direct routes to major ports such as Durban, Cape Town, and Port Elizabeth. The transit time from China is approximately 25 to 35 days. We also continuously monitor and stay updated on the latest local regulatory developments, including import duties, value-added tax (VAT), and various licensing requirements related to stainless steel products.
