Stainless Steel Equal Cross In Larger Pipe Lines

Why Use Stainless Steel Equal Cross In Larger Pipe Lines?

This is the most common type of cross. Unequal cross is also available but is not very common in applications. Asme B16.9 Crosses range from ½ inch to 48 inches in nominal diameters and are used with larger pipe lines. The Equal Cross Fitting Suppliers sell crosses of different sizes, material and mechanical properties. The Cross Fitting Dimensions are decided by the connecting pipes, the expected maximum pressure and the material used.

What is The Use of B16.9 Equal Cross?

Cross Pipe Fitting Dimensions play an important role in deciding the strength and stability. When the same size pipes are connected and fluids flow from one direction, it will be divided into three directions. Cross Tee Pipe Fitting Dimensions become problematic when fluid flows in by three directions and is expected to move out in one direction. Equal Cross Fitting Suppliers produce different kinds such as Ansi B16.9 Pipe Cross Fittings and the Stainless Steel Buttweld Equal Cross Fittings which are stronger.

Cross Equal Fittings Use In High-Pressure Environments?

The SS Equal Cross Fitting is the most commonly used material for cross. The Asme B16.9 Equal Cross is used with much larger pipe systems such as water lines. Buttweld Lateral Cross has connections in lateral angles and is used only with specific applications. The stronger Carbon Steel Butt Weld Equal Cross is used in known high pressure environments. All Cross Pipe Fittings are expensive than their tee counterparts.
