ASTM A213 TP310S Corrugated Tubes For Heat Exchanger

Why are more and more engineering projects choosing ASTM A213 TP310S stainless steel corrugated tubes instead of traditional smooth tubes under high-temperature, highly corrosive, and extremely demanding heat transfer conditions?

The core reason lies in their ability to achieve higher heat transfer efficiency, longer fatigue life, and more stable operational reliability under extreme service environments.

Our ASTM A213 TP310S SS Corrugated Tubes are specifically optimized for heat exchanger applications and manufactured using high-precision forming processes to significantly enhance heat transfer performance.TP310S, as a high chromium–nickel austenitic stainless steel (Cr 24–26%, Ni 19–22%), offers excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. It can operate continuously at temperatures up to 1000°C without significant oxidation scaling.

In addition, the tubes undergo solution annealing treatment, ensuring a uniform microstructure and stable grain structure, which enhances high-temperature strength and creep resistance.

In terms of corrugation geometry design, we can optimize wave height, pitch, and profile structure according to specific operating conditions. This enables a 20%–40% improvement in heat transfer efficiency compared to conventional smooth tubes, while also increasing fluid turbulence and reducing fouling risk. The outer diameter tolerance of the SS 310S corrugated pipe is controlled within ±0.5%, and wall thickness tolerance within ±8%, ensuring high consistency in corrugation forming. This guarantees precise assembly with tube sheets and system components, minimizing installation stress and leakage risks.

Regarding fatigue performance, through optimized corrugation design and advanced heat treatment processes, ASTM A213 TP310S corrugated tubes can withstand frequent thermal expansion and contraction cycles. The fatigue life is improved by over 30%, significantly reducing the risk of premature failure caused by thermal stress.
