ASTM B407 Incoloy 800 Seamless Pipe
Leave a message
Why are more and more engineering projects choosing ASTM B407 Incoloy 800 seamless pipes over conventional stainless steel in high-temperature, oxidative, and complex media environments? The answer lies in their superior high-temperature stability, oxidation resistance, and long-term microstructural reliability-significantly reducing the risk of equipment failure.
Our ASTM B407 Incoloy 800 Seamless Pipe is specifically designed for high-temperature and demanding service conditions, offering excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and nitridation. The alloy contains Ni 30–35%, Cr 19–23%, with Fe as the balance, along with trace additions of Al and Ti to stabilize the microstructure. In terms of grain size control, through precise hot working and solution annealing processes, we maintain the grain size within ASTM No. 5–8, ensuring both high-temperature strength and enhanced creep and fatigue resistance.
All pipes are supplied in the solution annealed condition, typically within a temperature range of 980–1150°C. This ensures complete dissolution of carbides and a uniform microstructure, significantly improving long-term stability under elevated temperatures.

We effectively address common customer challenges such as high-temperature oxidation failure, inconsistent material performance, welding cracking, and insufficient service life. According to actual application data, under the same operating conditions, the service life of Incoloy 800 seamless alloy pipes can be increased by more than 30%, significantly reducing maintenance frequency and downtime, and enabling safer and more efficient long-term operation.
incoloy 800 vs 800H vs 800HT
Incoloy 800H and 800HT are engineered for high-temperature creep strength by using high-temperature annealing to produce a coarse grain size (ASTM 5 or coarser), whereas standard Incoloy 800 does not have a specified, controlled grain size. 800H/HT prioritize large grains to reduce grain boundaries, increasing resistance to creep and rupture.

Alloy 800H Seamless Pipe supplier
As a supplier of high-quality nickel-based alloy tubes, GNEE has established a comprehensive quality and compliance system. We welcome and support our clients in conducting thorough audits of our manufacturing facility's credentials-including certifications relevant to pressure vessel fabrication, such as the PED (EU Pressure Equipment Directive) and the ASME U Stamp (ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code certification)-thereby ensuring that our products meet the rigorous requirements of international engineering projects.

Quality Inspection
Hydrostatic Test: Every pipe must undergo a pressure test.
Eddy Current Testing (ET) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT): To detect defects such as cracks, pinholes, or folds on both the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe wall.
PMI Testing (Handheld Spectrometer): Conducted via on-site spot checks to ensure that no incorrect materials have been shipped (as their appearance is similar to that of standard stainless steel).

The following are the standard packaging specifications for ASTM B407 Incoloy 800 seamless tubes:
Plastic Caps: Both ends of each tube must be fitted with secure plastic caps.
Function: Protection against damage and contamination.
Individual Plastic Bagging: It is recommended that each tube be individually enclosed in a plastic film bag or bubble wrap.
Hexagonal Bundles: For small to medium-diameter tubes, hexagonal bundling is typically employed to ensure structural stability.
Seaworthy Fumigated Wooden Cases: This is the most commonly used packaging method for Incoloy 800.
