Does 410 bright annealed tube need pickling?

The annealing temperature of 410 stainless steel bright annealed tube is usually between 700℃ and 760℃. Within this temperature range, the grains of stainless steel will grow again, the internal stress will be eliminated, and the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance will be improved. The annealing time is generally about 1-2 hours, and the specific time needs to be adjusted according to the size, thickness and shape of the pipe.

After annealing, the metal surface of 410 stainless steel round tube will have oxide scale and other impurities, which will affect the subsequent processing and treatment. Pickling can effectively remove these impurities and ensure the smoothness of the metal surface.

The main chemical components of 410 stainless steel seamless tube include carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and chromium, of which the chromium content is between 11.5%-13.5%. Its density is 7.7g/cm³, specific heat capacity is 0.462J/(kg·K), and thermal conductivity is 20-11.7W/(m·K). After annealing, the hardness of 410 stainless steel is reduced, and it has good machinability and processing properties.

410 stainless steel cold-rolled pipe application areas:

410 stainless steel pipe is often used to manufacture parts that require high strength and wear resistance. Due to its high hardness and good wear resistance, it is suitable for manufacturing parts such as knives, fasteners, hydraulic press valves, etc. that are subject to impact loads.
In addition, 410 stainless steel is also widely used in seawater treatment, chemical equipment and other fields.
