What is the difference between SUS405 410L 430 Ferrite Stainless Steel Bar?
SUS405 Ferritic Stainless Steel Bar
High temperature oxidation resistance: Aluminum elements form a dense Al₂O₃ film, with a long-term temperature resistance of ≤800℃, which is better than ordinary carbon steel. Low cold working hardening rate, suitable for complex forming such as stamping and bending. No preheating or post-heat treatment is required, and the corrosion resistance of the weld is stable.
SUS410L Low Carbon Ferritic Stainless Steel Bar
Welding corrosion resistance: Low carbon design reduces carbide precipitation and avoids intergranular corrosion. Yield strength ≥205 MPa, elongation ≥20%, suitable for load-bearing structures. Applied to ship structural parts, pressure vessels, mechanical shafts, and valve components.
SUS430 Ferritic Stainless Steel Bar
Better than SUS405, resistant to atmosphere, fresh water and weakly acidic media. Cold rolling process achieves a mirror effect, suitable for decorative purposes. The cost is more than 30% lower than austenitic stainless steel (such as 304). Applied to automobile exhaust pipes, home appliance housings, building curtain walls, and food machinery frames.
