TP304N seamless stainless steel pipe for heat exchanger
Leave a message
TP304N stainless steel pipe is austenitic stainless steel. The high chromium and nickel content forms a dense chromium oxide film, which can resist corrosion from most organic acids, inorganic acids and salt solutions. Nitrogen further enhances high-temperature oxidation resistance and pitting resistance in chloride ion environments. The applicable temperature range is -196℃~870℃. The mechanical properties are stable below 400℃, which is suitable for high-temperature medium treatment in heat exchangers.

What is the difference between TP304N and TP304, TP316L, TP304LN stainless steel heat exchanger tubes?
Difference from TP304:
TP304N has higher strength and better high temperature corrosion resistance due to the addition of nitrogen, while the Cr content of ordinary TP304 is slightly lower (17-19%), and the price is relatively low.
Compared with 316L:
316L has stronger pitting resistance due to molybdenum (Mo), but the cost is high; TP304N is more cost-effective in an environment without high chloride ions.

Compared with TP304LN:
TP304LN is a low-carbon version (C≤0.035%), which further reduces the risk of welding sensitization and is suitable for long-term high-temperature service, but the strength is slightly lower than TP304N
