Both ends of the bars are deburred or chamfered (at 30° or 45°) to effectively protect your machining tools and ensure operator safety. We also offer bars that have undergone annealing or solution treatment, effectively preventing work hardening and greatly facilitating subsequent machining operations. The material hardness is typically controlled within the range of HRB 80–90.
The surface roughness of our AISI 304 stainless steel bars is strictly controlled at Ra ≤ 0.8 μm (mirror-finish effects can be achieved upon customer request), and straightness is maintained within ≤ 0.5 mm/m. These bars exhibit exceptional machinability; not only do they significantly reduce tool wear, but they also produce cleaner, more manageable chips.

Can AISI 304 bright bars be welded?
Yes, they can. AISI 304 possesses excellent weldability. However, given that these are "bright bars," the heat-affected zone (HAZ) surrounding the weld seam will lose its original bright finish and dimensional precision. If the intended application involves extensive welding, it is recommended to opt for 304L (the low-carbon variant) to prevent sensitization and intergranular corrosion.
